Volunteer and make a difference

Carry On (Victoria)’s Volunteers are the backbone of our charity. They have kept the organisation ticking since 1932, and generously continue to give up their time to do so.

It’s an enriching experience to donate your time and skills and help people to turn their lives around. Volunteering is not just about others though – it also has a positive effect on the mental and physical health of the volunteer. It can assist in combating stress and depression, provides a sense of purpose and self-confidence, and last but not least, helps maintain physical health and fitness.

So, what are you waiting for?

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help us make a positive difference in the lives of Ex-Servicemen and Women and their families. Volunteer as much or as little time as you can, at a time that works for you. Volunteering doesn't need to be a long-term commitment, and you can decide how it fits into the many hours of your day.

Volunteers can assist in the following areas:

• Welfare Committee
• Special projects
• Industry committees
• Board activities
• Property maintenance at our branches
• Client visitations on behalf of the Welfare Committee
• Advocacy
• Op Shop retail assistance
